STUDENT/PRACTICAL TRAINING |
Palm Centre is an organisation established in the Koycegiz municipality of Mugla, trying to achieve first applications in its field. We have realised the first "Palmetum", Palm Garden in our country. Cactus House with around 300 species of cacti and succulents and The "Dream Garden" that having Water and Bog Plants collection, was opened to public in June 2005. In May 2006 we have opened the Botanical Garden after the completion of our Tropical Greenhouse.
Our centre is not a real Botanical Garden, as far as species are limited and all taxons are not presented. But unrivalled in Turkey for learning and practical training for specially culture plants. Identification, classification, cultivation and care (140+ types of palms, 1000+ species of perennial and non-perennial trees and shrubs). We accept a limited number of students for summer practical training. The number of students taken in one group is limited to six to eight. Students from relevant departments of Agricultural Faculties, Landscape Design students from Forestry and Biology students are accepted.
