PALMIYE MERKEZI GREENHOUSES

In the 5108 m2  (55.000 ft²) of greenhouse space around 140 varieties of palms are being germinated and cultivated. However, non-palm plant types have exceeded the palm numbers significantly both in type and actual numbers. We have currently more than 1000 plant species and sub-species in our collection; in the greenhouses and gardens.

Our studies are focused on the unknown and less well known plants in our country. Most of our products are the first and only available in Turkey.  The answer to the question  one may ask  “why the other growers are not  supplying  your products?”, is that " those products  grow very slowly  and  has  no place in the local market ". Plants with expensive and difficult-to-obtain seeds, even if they are atractive and rare, do not provide sufficient profit margin for the commercial growers in our country. Although we do not generally export, many rare species we have produced have been taken by individual foreign collectors to their countries.
